Raw Soul Entertainment is back in the Kensal Lounge with another instalment this time incorporating a genre of music that is a hybrid of 1970’s – influenced soul music with major influences from Jazz and Jazz Funk! The genre we all know as Neo Soul!!!

Once again we personally invite you to join us on our musical celebration to pay homage to our now present and future greats and legends in their own right!

Artists such as Musiq Soul Child, Eryka Badu, John Legend, Ursula Rucker, Raphael Saddiq, Angela Johnson, Goapele, Maxwell and even our own British Neo Soul icon, Omar Lyefook.

Performances  on the night:

Faada Spoonface- unique acoustic set from this poetic songwrite Faadar living on the Venus express.

Shea Soul brilliant singer songwriter performing some sultry jazz gymnastics, tricks on me jazz version.

Jermain Foster – rising star in the making giving you an uplifting gospel influenced musical rendition

DJ’s and sounds on the night mixing up the Neo Soul and Boogie Raw Soul Experience: West Side Sound System, DJ Tree.

Velvet Hearts from 8.30pm in the Grand Hall

Compelling lead frontman John James Newman (son of Sandy Newman of ‘Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da’ fame) tells us “We just want to get out there, blow peoples minds and buzz off the reaction” Likened to such bands as Muse, Snow Patrol and The Killers. Completing the sextet is the enigmatic Lydia Cascarino-Close on Bass, Quest Quinton on Guitar and the powerhouse combo of Ollie-Richmond Jones and Jamie Bruce on Drums and Vocals respectively.

The Velvet Hearts are already attracting major label attention make sure you make it down to Cobden's Grand Hall, door at 8pm.

Promoter Christian Barnes brings us two nights of  premium live music platforms from which artistes can launch themselves and where music lovers and industry bods could revel in a top atmosphere.  4 sticks live is arguably the best showcase night London has ever seen.

Wednesday nights-

Hoochie Coochie Live

Nottinghill's local DJ/Producer Alistair hosts "Hoochie Coochie live Club" Every week 4 to 5 of London's finest and best acts (both signed & unsigned) from acoustic singer-songwriters to soul/jazz to ska bands to rock'n' rollers perform from 9pm-11pm.

From 11pm to close Alistair will DJ an "Eclectic Portobello sussed" set of Ska, Electro, Dub, Down-tempo, the Stones, Classic tunes, Sebastien Tellier et DJ Shadow the likes.

Promoter Paul Krammer brings us fresh talent on the last Wednesday of every month.

Midweek is reserved for regular live music performances. Recent band showcases have included appearances from Lemar, Elvis Costello, Lily Fraser, Toyah Willcox, Tom Baxter, Sanderson Pitch and Barry Adamson.
